horz (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains in plain language what data is collected when you visit horz.app or buy and use the horz macOS app, and how that data is handled by Aleksei Semigradskii (Individual entrepreneur ALEKSEI SEMIGRADSKII) and our payment reseller, PayPro Global.

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

• Checkout and billing data (PayPro Global as Data Controller). Our checkout and order process is run by PayPro Global (PayPro Global, Inc., 225 The East Mall, Suite 1117, Toronto, ON, M9B 0A9, Canada, and its subsidiaries), our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. PayPro Global is the data controller for the payment, billing, and tax information you enter at checkout under PayPro Global’s Privacy Policy, Data Protection Policy, and User Data Protection overview.
• Order details shared with us (horz as Data Processor). When an order is completed, refunded, or charged back, PayPro Global shares your basic order details (such as your name, email address, billing address/country, order ID, and order status) with our server so we can issue or deactivate your license key, verify activations, deliver updates, and provide support. Under PayPro Global’s GDPR Data Processing Provisions, we process that shared order data strictly for these purposes.
• App, website, and support data (horz as Data Controller). For data collected directly by the horz macOS app, on horz.app, or when you email us, the data controller is Individual entrepreneur ALEKSEI SEMIGRADSKII, Georgia, Tbilisi City, Samgori District, Police Lane I N5, Floor 2, N4a. You can reach us anytime at support@horz.app.

2. What Information We Collect

• Order information from PayPro Global. When you buy horz, PayPro Global collects your payment details. We never see or store your credit card numbers or bank details. PayPro Global sends us your name, email address, billing country/address, order ID, and license key status.
• App license checks and diagnostics. While PayPro Global delivers your license key at checkout, single-device activation is handled by our own licensing server. The horz macOS app connects to our server to activate, verify, or unbind your license key (using a hardware identifier for your Mac so the license is active on one computer at a time), check for app updates, and send optional crash reports or diagnostics. These requests include standard technical metadata like your IP address, macOS version, horz version, and Mac model. horz runs locally on your Mac and never records the content of your windows, files, or keystrokes.
• Support emails. If you email us at support@horz.app, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
• Website server logs. When you visit horz.app, our hosting provider processes standard web request data (such as IP address, browser type, and requested page) to deliver the website and keep it secure.

3. How and Why We Use Your Information

• To provide horz (Contract): issuing and delivering your license key, activating or moving your license between Macs, providing software updates, and helping you with support requests.
• To maintain and protect horz (Legitimate interests): fixing bugs and crashes, protecting our licensing server and website from piracy or fraud, and emailing you about important product updates or new releases. You can unsubscribe from product update emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by writing to support@horz.app.
• To follow the law (Legal obligations): keeping order and accounting records required by tax laws.

We never sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who We Share Information With

• PayPro Global: our Merchant of Record, which handles checkout, payments, tax compliance, invoices, and refunds under PayPro Global’s Privacy Policy.
• Infrastructure providers: trusted hosting, licensing, and email services (such as Cloudflare) that run horz.app and our licensing server on our behalf under strict privacy and security obligations.
• Legal authorities and advisers: accountants, legal advisers, or government authorities only when required by law.

5. Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on horz.app. When you open the PayPro Global checkout page, PayPro Global uses cookies needed for checkout, fraud prevention, and analytics (with your consent where required), as explained in PayPro Global’s Privacy Policy.

6. International Data Transfers

Because we are based in Georgia and use global service providers (including PayPro Global in Canada, the US, the EU, and the UK), your data may be processed outside the country where you live, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom. When data is transferred internationally, it is protected by adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, including PayPro Global’s GDPR Data Processing Provisions.

7. How Long We Keep Data and How We Protect It

We keep order and license activation records for as long as your license is active and as required by tax and accounting rules. Crash reports and support emails are kept only as long as needed to fix issues and help you. All communication between horz, horz.app, and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.

8. Privacy of Minors (18+)

horz and our checkout process are intended for adults aged 18 and older. In line with PayPro Global’s policy, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and US state privacy laws), you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, and file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
